Zoomers vs Pixar

Back in 1987, my father, Richard Codor, was hired by Byron Preiss, GLC,Inc, to design and illustrate Preiss's concept, "The Zoomers of Motor City". The two book series about the  mystery solving cars was published by Simon and Schuster. The illustrations were colored by Carol Bouman and the books were written by Mel Gilden. I grew up with these books in my house and I have fond memories of spending hours reading these books multiple times

In 2004, my father and I were in a theater seeing the next big Pixar movie "The Incredibles." We made a tradition to see all the Pixar movies together at that point and I'd like to say I'm still a huge fan of the movies they release. During the previews there was a trailer for Pixar's new film "Cars." Seeing that trailer was a very interesting experience since I immediately associated it with what I was seeing on screen with part of my childhood.

I just want to post here on what I think are some compelling similarities between the characters of Zoomers and Cars.
